About

Frontier is the student organization of North American Studies at the University of Helsinki, Finland.

Frontier has been active since 1993 and we welcome all students at the university interested in North America to join our activities. We organize events related to American culture and society. Our traditional events include a Thanksgiving dinner and a Fourth of July/Canada Day picnic, and we are always looking for new ideas as well so if there is something you would like us to do, please get in touch!

In addition to organizing events and excursions, we have a close cooperation with the staff at the department and are a part of what is going on there, for example the Maple Leaf and Eagle Conference that is held every other year.

We welcome you to join us whether you are interested in becoming an active member of the organization or just to meet new people and have loads of fun!

How to become a member:
